Hey guys, curiosity question. has any one register there domain for 10 to 50 years? If so do you think it had an effect on how it was weighted to Google?

Some say it depends on how long its registered for also. Just think about a site that someone registers for 1 year vs 10. A search engine would think that the site registered for 1 year may not stick around.

But I registered a site for 10 years and havent seen anything special. So I dont believe in all that.

I don't think search engines give much weight to old domains.. The reason why some old domains are ranking high is because they have managed to captured highly relevant inbound links back in those days :)
