domain keyword question

i am looking at purchasing another domain. and just had a question of which format would be better to buy.

www.the****for*****.net (.com is take)

or just the 2 keywords together in a .com

for example (not domains i am looking at)

www.theartofwar.net

or

www.artwar.com

i am looking from a SEO as well as visitors viewpoint.

Easy to remember, SEs see it as more meaningful.
