Hello Mates, I would like to know is Domain Keyword is still working for SEO or not. Is it still giving advantage to rank faster in google top 10. THanks
It still works if your domain name is your main keyword the site shiukd rank highly based in that keyword.
Yes it still works. And it must work, logically (which I believe). Although it has high effectiveness, the immediate effect of it on search engine ranking depends on many other factors too. Like, - competition for that keyword - order of keyword within domain name (e.g. buygiftonline.com and onlinegiftbuy.com has different impact for your keywords) - using '-' withing your domain (e.g. buygiftonline.com has more impact than buy-gift-online.com) etc. Regards,
Yes of course! I know there was a rumor that Google won't be considering this to Rank factor any more. But in fact I still looking a lot of site that have Keyword on Domain rank high
Exact Match Domain (EMD) still works... It's just you should not spam it with blackhat or greyhat techniques. If the content on the domain is according to Google guidelines then you should be fine and yes (Ranking High)
I still think EMD's work well. I have a few .com and .org EMD's that rank well. Stay within Googles guidelines like suliman said. Focus on building quality content + links.
yes it still works, not only this this you will have an edge over your competitors by having keyword in domain.
You'll also get direct traffic because some people still type in exactkeyword.com when searching for stuff.
It totally makes a difference. And unless your running a spammy site thats built for ad clicks only then it also makes it easier for your loyal customer/user to remember also.
Domain keywords definitely still work...there's a lot of talk about keywords and link building, guest blogging etc...not working anymore. I think the thing is that it all still works so long as it's relevant to your website. Google just doesn't want to see spammy tactics and so long as you're delivering quality content that's relevant to your topic you're ok. That's not to say you through the "guidelines" out the window though.
Hi, In my opinion, one of the most important factor in ranking your website in the search engines is the domain name of your website. If your domain name is keyword rich, surely they'll stay a higher position in the search engines ranking than others. Of course, you should also pay attention to your content because content is King. Google will always love the site which has updated content regularly. Your content, good keyword density and a right SEO campaign will help your site have a high ranking. Good luck!
Dont think so even though everyone else says yes... Google does not care what you have in your domain... Just because you see a site ranking has nothing to do with keywords in their domain; they simply have done their homework and ranked for those keywords, not because the keywords were in the domain... and if there is any factor at all, then it will be tiny to non-existent factor... And having a domain that is more brandable/memorable is far more valuable then having keywords in the domain, unless they go along.... Because the domain did not rank itself, and these days you have to earn your keyword rank, or be cast in the google lake of fire.... (sure thing, bad sites go to google hell and burn forever..
Personally I don't care if an exact domain name is available. Few years ago people used to build website only with the exact domain match. So, do you get penalized for having an EMD or PMD? No, I don’t think so. You can still build a very authoritative site that with an exact match domain name.
You can rank fine without having a keyword in your domain name. Websites without them in there rank just well. Instead of focusing on that specific keyword, I'd recommend spending the time to make your site the absolute best of its kind.
Yes still it is working well. But you have to update your site regularly with good content if not you will get penalty.
