I have a new domain that will be #3 out of 3 million results or so and then a few hours later will completely dissapear (not in first 100 pages). Then the next day it will come back and then dissapear again. It seems everytime the domain comes back it goes higher in the rankings. Anybody know why this would keep happening? I haven't changed any of the meta data or submitted my site more than once.
It sounds like you are just getting results from a different Google data center sometimes. You might have more links that are relevant to that other data center's region. Google is using geotargeting more in their search results these days. So the geographical location of your links plays a big role in what areas of the world you will get rankings in.
yeah, it's like vansterdam said, sometimes some of the DC's aren't updated at the same time as others. For example I'm having the same "problem". I get 3 different results by searching my sites name.
I've seen similar things happen with sites that are only a few months old. Things stabilise as the site gets older.
Yh as above said its from diff datacenter issue.. The SERP result will vary accordingly by the datacenters updates...I this his site is new.. bcz this tuype of issue normally effecting only new sites...
I think this might also be due to Google testing how much people like your site. They give it traffic and based on how people react to it they adjust your rank. This is only a theory though.
