Hello All, I have a query which I am hoping the geeks here at DP could help me with. I have purchased a dedicated hosting with a domain name www . gvantagweb . com and wanted the nameservers to be NS1.GVANTAGEWEB.COM. I have successfully added the NS and all other domains which are using the NS are working perfect, except the main domain www . gvantagweb . com Could anyone please shed light on where i am going wrong. The domain is registered at GoDaddy. Regards
Hello there, Looks like you need to add the name servers to the domain name, as it is reporting they are not there: http://www.intodns.com/gvantageweb.com Regards, Chris
I guess first of all , you will need to register the DNS from the side of the server .If you are suing Cpanel, you can do this via Basich WHm setup section in WHM.After this your nameservers with the necessary ips should appear on the server in /etc/nameserverips. When everything is set up correctly from the side of the server( also don't forget to add A entries for NS1.GVANTAGEWEB.COM. and NS2.GVANTAGEWEB.COM.), register the dns from the side of the registrar and set for your main domain.T Then wait till the dns gets propagated( the process can take up to 48 hours) ands your site should start working properly.
Here is the Godaddy support link to change the name server to your domain name: http://support.godaddy.com/help/article/664/setting-nameservers-for-your-domain-names
