I have registered two domains in a hosting company half a year ago . The domains works well . However one of my domain/site is down due to the "Domain Status: clientHold" . The following is the messages of my domain respectively. ROID: 20080616s10001s98294600-cn Domain Status: clientHold ROID: 20080630s10011s63739297-cn Domain Status: ok It is my first time to encount "Domain Status: clientHold" . What does it mean ? Is it hijack of my domain ? Will I lost my domain ? Anyone had similar experiences ?
Client hold has nothing to really do with it. The main thing is: Do you have control of this domain? Can you transfer it out? Did you get the domain free? If you can't control it and it IS NOT in your name and is in your hosting providers control panel, you NEED to request it from them ASAP. Make sure you transfer it to a good registrar, like Godaddy or Dynadot. You might have to pay for the domain transfer! It's only like $10 max.
They only work from Monday to Friday . They don't process on weekend while they are on duty which make me annoyed . I of course pay to get the domain and now it is half a year past .
