i was wondering.... i know that having a domain name with your key words in it is def a good idea for SEO reasons, for example: ball-python-snakes.com and asume that having an extra domain name like mysnakes.com that auto fowards to ball-python-snakes.com when someone types it into their web browser, shouldn't hurt anything. but would it ruin the benefits of having the "ball-python-snakes" domain name if my main website was "mysnakes.com" and i had "ball-python-snakes.com" auto-foward to "mysnakes.com" if that is to confusing, please tell me what you don't understand and i will try and clarify, i'm not so good at explaing myself. thank you so much
Which ever one is forwarded will have NO SEO EFFECT.... so use the heavier KW constructed domain A domain won't rank because of it's name.. it is the on-site and back links.... the domain may have a small effect, but without backlinks behind it... it is useless for all intents and purposes
Keyword domain names aren't as important as they used to be even 6 months ago. If you're going to have the two domain names, make sure you do a 301 redirect for the one you don't want to be in the serps or you could be seen as having a clone site.
If your domain "A" is a domain that people tend to just type into the browser and visit, you can use it to forward to your "B" domain that is your main site. If you don't have this kind of domain no, it's not worth to redirect the keyword domain to the other one because if you don't have content on it and lots of back links it will never rank being just a redirect. (As David suggested)
