Can anyone tell me some of the pros and cons of pointing your domain name towards your hoplink. Example: Your site xxxx.com pointed to the main page where your hoplink is. Thanks

    Different strokes for different folks.

    1. No seo for you :(

    2. Competing with the main domain, people doing extensive research or 'shopping around' might figure you out easier.

    3. No pre-selling (good for some products, bad for others).

    4. No indexing (though i could be wrong, but you'll be deeeep if you do show...

    5. Good for quick sale products if the domain is VERY relative.

IMO - get some hosting space, setup your dns and make some quick/great landing pages (or get them from your vendors). Way more options and long term automated focus for seo/2.0 sites/sub-pages/split-tests/mini-stes/etc...

    Chop chop,
    NC.

Hi, don't do a redirect. Domain mask it so that it appears as "yourdomain.com" rather than "affiliateproduct.com/hop=yourid" which looks ugly.

The best is to create a simple landing page but that really depends on where you are doing this for PPC, SEO or plain simple redirection for professional look.
