I want to purchase a .com domain for my blogger. If i purchase a domain and host it through blogger. Will it be considered as paid hosting as google is providing web space for my domain ?

I think it is always better to have own domain rather than free blogspot. Even Adsense does not approve account for blogspot.

Are you sure you need your own domain to create an adsense account? I don´t mean it is not true, I had to take a look a the adsense policies but I just don´t think so.

What do you mean with "be considered as paid hosting"? I would say we can´t talk about paid hosting in this case, because you are not paying for the hosting.

    Greetings

Last I looked there was a "Monetize" tag on the blogspot blog control panel, I thought you could sign-up to adsense directly through blogspot.

Personally I have 3 blogs on blogspot, 2 as whatever dot blogspot dot com & one of them is on my own domain name. It's easy enough to do, just point the domain to blogspot ... they step you through it in the Settings/Publishing tab.

No it is not considered paid hosting, even if you buy a domain. Only if you pay for hosting, and you pay for the domain, will it be considered paid hosting :)

You can buy a domain name with .com tld or .net or .info (and more you know) and permit a redirect to your existing blog, or internal pages of it, some service provide also url masking.
You can also set subdomain for your main domain name like forum.mydomain.com etc...
Pm if you need more help to register the best domain for your blog.

Then I would suggest Worpress and Godaddy.
Godaddy offers a blog hosting package (.com) for as low as 11/year!
