Domain/Folder Ranking?

    I noticed that on my rankings i have just put in my www.domain.com but i have higher rankings for folders or files such as www.domain.com/widget/

    do i need to do anything different to setup where it checks anything www.domain.com* wildcard no matter if its another file or directory?

    i have keywords i am going after for my home page and also for my folder/file pages.

    Make sense? and can anybody help please?
