domain expiration question

    hello :)

    i bought a domain from a reseller and he gave me some board to log in with.
    now the board is down (but the domain is still working). And i cant contact the main reseller

    the domain will expire very soon, so i decided to buy it myself from some other domain company

    Does anyone knows when it would be availiable exactly for buying it from another domain company?

    an example it is said the domain will expire at : 25 feb 2008
    so when would be the exact date and time that i can buy it from another company?

    please if anyone knows howmuch time is availiable between expiring the domian and rebuying it from different company please tell

    If you own the domain now and are planning to let it expire and re-pick it up... HUGE No-No. Figure out what needs to be done to make sure you stay the owner.

    IMHO dont wait for expiration and re-purchase from another registrar. Do you know which company of he/she is reseller. If yes then you may directly contact that company.

    My friend, The last thing you want is to wait for the domain to expire and when it does it will take about 70 days untill it get put for deletion and there is no gurrantee that you will be the one trying to get the name.

    You should be able to contact the sponsoring registrar to get the renwal for the domain, or even the Auth Code. If you want more details lookup the detail info on whois to get the actual registrar, if not then you have an option to contact the registry or even Icann
