domain effect on google search

    if somebody searches for "flower photos",
    I think, google searchs first the url of the site with the keyword while generating the search results. Does it make difference for given domain names, if the keyword is directly in domain or in url as parameter... ?

    Yes, it definitely makes a difference, especially for low to medium competitive terms, you'll find loads of high ranked sites with the specific keywords in the domain name and/or directory/filename, although the domain name seems to have most weight.

    Easy example: flowerpower.blogspot.com always linked with "flower power" will probably rank very well for "flower power blog" as well (just made this one up, but there are many examples like this in the serps)
