Does anyone know if the length of time you register a domain for can have a positive effect on PR for the domain/ site.

Say for example i have a PR3 site set to expire in 12 months, does renewing the domain for 5-10 years have an impact next PR update ?

    YES.

The longer the domain name is registered for the better google thinks of your site. They figure you are in it for the long run.

Domain names that have been registered for years get points for this. I am sure alot of people will say no but it does help sites to have domain registered for years not 1 or 2.

The longer the better. Short duration URLs are typical of spammers so G thinks you are infor real when you have 5 years expiration for example.

This is definitely true. For domains I'm serious about, I try to register them for the full 10 years. Pricey, but worth it in my opinion.
