domain drop date

    i'm after a domain name which registered on Godaddy and its registry data is:

    Expires On
    January 08, 2016
    Registered On
    January 08, 2015
    Updated On
    February 19, 2016

    i backordered it via godaddy, when it will be droped you think?

    If it's a COM/NET then it will be 35 days after the expiration date.

    In the cases where I don't want to buy expired domain at auction and I know that they are not interested in somebody at one, I put the domain on whois monitoring and at the time of drop of the domain the software is registered it to me. And then You do not depend on the drop cycle of a particular TLD
