Domain DNS Issue with ISP

    Hi,

I moved several of my domains to a new host, and updated the Nameservers around 3-4 days ago. However the changes do not seem to have been resolved when accessing via my own ISP, although friends on other ISP's were seeing the sites on the new host with no problems within hours of the change.

    The problem domains are

    www.djassociates.org
    www.discodirect.com

They are all registered with different registrars which rules out any issue there.

Could somebody please ping one of the above and let me know whether you are seeing the sites on the new host which should be 72.249.28.81 or the old host which was 208.101.48.112

Any ideas why I am still accessing (and pinging) the old host from my ISP?

    Thanks

You'll have to ask your ISP what's going on. It's possible they're doing another
DNS "cleanup" and it's fluctuating between the old and the new.

Both domains are pinging to 72.249.28.81 via dnsstuff.com.

you ISP might not pick up the DNS change information yet. Go to your registar and update the DNS information one more time. If happened to me before too

    Okay thanks for the information.

Its now three days later and the DNS still hasn't resolved to this ISP. I've also contacted them regarding the problem, but no reply.

Is there anything else I can do?

    Hi oakley1973,
    You can try this
    Start>Run>Type ipconfig -flushdns
If it still wont work and still point to old ip you can fix that manually
    open c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc
and edit the "hosts" file in notepad scroll to bottom add this line:
    72.232.212.74 www.x39wares.uni.cc
Change the ip Change the domain to your real domain which you wana fix
save it and close..reboot your computer.
It should work fine now :)
