Hello guys! I want your expert thoughts over this. I'm sorting out the pros and cons between the two options. domain.com/keyword or keyword.com what would be the positive and negative thing will happen if I choose domain.com/keyword? what would be the positive and negative thing will happen if I choose keyword.com? I need your expert opinion guys!I know some but I need to list more. Thanks!
Choosing keyword.com might give you a ranking advantage in the search engine if you choose a very frequently-searched keyword. This is a method that sniper sites use. The problem is that most popular keywords have a lot of competition so the domain name is either unavailable or your site will be outranked by larger, competing sites.
keyword.com can be better but it's possible to outrank those domains using domain.com/keyword. I know this because I did this. It's all depends on how good is your on-page SEO and off-page SEO. If a page domain.com/keyword get a lot of high quaility links and also it's well optimized and the whole website are good quaility website than it can outrank keyword.com
Keyword.com is better if the keyword has a high search volume, but if your keyword has a low search volume then domain.com/keyword.html is better. Also if you'll choose a good keyword you can get some type-in traffic. If keyword.com is taken, which is so usually you may try some other zones, .net, org and even some exotic zones like sh or tv.
