Normally domain providers do not offer auto-renewal. I dare not guarantee but at least my company do not have this service. The domain owner has to renew the domain manually every year. You can get confirmation from your domain providers before sign up.

You should give your domain registrar a call and make sure if your domains are on auto renewal or not. That is the only way to truly know, they will take them off of auto renewal for you if there are not already. Hope that helps!

You need to renew manually after one year.

You may be able to set your payment preferences on your domain registrar's account panel. Every registrar provides that. You may disable auto-renewals at anytime you want. No worries. Contact your registrar and I'm sure they're willing to help you out.

I recommend you to remove auto-renew option in your registrar so by this your Credit card will not be billed automatically but you have to renew your domain manually after 1 year. The auto renew option is just for people who have large domains portfolio and they forget to renewe domains and this option automatically renews domains for them :)

In my case, my domain provider has provided an option to check/uncheck the auto-renewal of the domain. Domain providers will not automatically deduct it from your credit card unless you give them the right to do so. If they will, then it's a different story.

If you give them of your credit card no. for your domain purpose then its only credit no. not its value. You don't give them of your credit card password.
