Domain banned

After spending months building a website I just now realized that the domain name that I have used has been banned by Google. The website itself is perfectly fine. I am wondering now if I have purchased domain name that has been banned before.

Couple of months ago I ran in to a post... that I cannot find anymore on the instructions on how to re-submit a website to Google to get it indexed again. I know there is a form that Google has on their website to do that. I tried searching Google and this forum and had not luck. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

If you know why it has been banned, you can try to get it out. You can add your site at google webmaster control, you can also file a reinclusion request there. Also you can buy a new domain(relevant to your site theme) and transfer your site there. That'll be the easiest and fast process imho.

In my en devour to find answers I have found a great blog by by Matt Cutts software engineer for Google. Some of you probably already know about that blog. For those of you who do not know about it then you should. Great resource for any Google problems, especially How Google deals with spam.

You should probably sign up for a Google Webmasters Tools Account ( http://www.google.com/webmasters/ ), if you haven't already. Once you are logged in and you have verified the site you own, you can request reconsideration from inside your account.

file a reinclusion request. In the meantime I would move to another domain name, leave some content on the current server and once the ban is lifted move everything back....only go through this hassle if the domain is truly worth it...
