Hi, Is it ok to register ipad.cctld domain? Will Apple sue me for trademark infringement.
At my country cctld domain www.ipad.cctld is still free and Apple company isn't yet registered here as a trademark.
Please tell me what to to do. To register of not that domain?

It's trademark infringement if you register the domain for use with any Apple or similar type of product. Whether or not they will decide to sue you or take the domain is up to them - but they could do it at any time. Apple has international trademarks. I wouldn't touch it.

Mjewel, thank you for you advice.
How about just registering the domain and keeping it inactive to see if anything happened?

That's called cybersquatting. Whether Apple Corp would decide to pursue it on a parked domain is unknown (many companies do) but others will wait until content is placed on the site that establishes usage infringement . Sitting on the domain name would be worthless because it couldn't be used and a cybersquatter can be held liable for actual damages or statutory damages in the amount of a maximum of $100,000 for each name found to be in violation. Is it really worth the risk? Spend your time coming up with your own brand and going through the trademark process and forget about trying to ride the goodwill built by someone else.
