Domain and hosting issues.

    Hi

    i have registered a domain and have hosting some where else.

    i want to make my domain live and i am not able to do it.

    can any one tell me how to connect my domain from somewhere else to my hosting ?

    and what is domain forwarding, domain pointing?

    please guys help me with some procedure as i am very new to this...

    i will appreciate your help thank you

    What you need to do is find out what the nameservers are for the hosting that you have. They will be in the forum of something like this ns1.domainname.com and ns2.domainnme.com - Then you need t set these namservers in your domain registrars control panel. Is this shared hosting? or is it a VPS or dedicated server where you need to set custom nameservers. Also who is your domain registrar. If you provide more details we can help you in more detail.

    You should have received an email with all the necessary passwords and stuff. It should mention some nameservers, from which you enter into your domain registrars control panel.

    thanks for your reply can you tell me one more thing should i have to transfer my registerar as i am having my hosting and domain registrar different??
