Domain alias

    Would you think buying domain alias would help positioning on SERPs?
    I mean, I have www.mysite.com
    and I buy domain www.my-keyword.com
    that is alias of mysite.com
    Would this help mysite.com to boost on term "my keyword"?

    Or do I get penalized because Google might think of it as a mirror site?
