Hello all I can't understand why is better a 10 yrs old Domain than a new registered. Does they have better SE rankings or what?
The domain age is a factor in SE rankings. But, not the exact date when the domain is registered. But, the date on which SE came to know about the domain i.e. it was first indexed. For example, if I have a 10 year old domain not ever indexed by Google and other SE's, it is worthless in terms of SEO.
They are not of much SEO value unless they are indexed. And how much weight do you think Google will give to a domain which contains only links?
The age of the domain according to Google index and not according to the WHOIS details. Older domains are quite trusted and more likely to have more links and replication across the web. Somebody rumored that they factor that into their PR system, suggesting that it is a strategy to discourage short term rogue sites that just apply spammy methods to get high ranking position in the SEs, make some money and then disppear.
