The age of the domain name DOES NOT matter. The age of the website DOES matter. Also, if you renew your domain name in advance for more years, that matters too. Read Google's official papers and you'll know.
I also think that domain age is not very important. More important is it's name, content and backlinks.
I still don't believe that the age of the site effects PR significantly although i think it may play a factor.
HI I used to check my site using the alexa edition tools but my site does not show the registration date can any one help in setting those age of domain
Domain Authority is the most important factor rather than age, if it's an old domain that already build it's authority then it will help
I think that domain age is important only if a site keeps on providing excellent content/services. If a domain is not providing any useful information and if not building any trust, then its age will not help in search engine ranking.
Domain age is important but not about pagerank. It is about the authoritative status and site ranking in Google. However, only aged without any added value to the domain is useless. Domain age with good history is a must if you want to archive long term results with Google and other major search engines.
Definitely makes a difference but I wouldn't claim that it's King. I think the difference it makes depends on a few factors including the competition, content, category, etc.
i dont agree that domain age is the king, i believe content of site is king and values more to visitors even if it is a new site. it might be one of the factors that google looks out for.
This is like the neverending quarrel... I honestly think domain age is one of those extremely minor factors. It seems like nothing else matters but backlinks these days.
yes, backlinks are very important factor, but it should be noted that if a website is well promoted it will have a lot of backlinks in the end.
