Domain age does this realy make a difference? my site is over a year old just woundering because I hear now and again that the older the domain is the better for seo it is as it gets more highly ranked by search engines is this true?

Will this also mean more traffic this time around?

In terms of Google yes domain age is very important. The older your domain/site is the more trust Google will give it. You should also register your domain for as many years as possible or at least more than 1 year.

Some think that an older domain is viewed as more trustworthy by the search engines. It is also more likely to have higher backlinks.

If a site for example is exactly the same as another but one is five years older, it makes sense for the older one to be ranked higher.

A 2 years old domain that never changed ownership, and that has the same website till today, is more reliable for G than a brand new domain name...
