I'm looking to buy some old domain, like 2001.
Everybody are talking that if domain is older you can get faster in top rankings.

This is all ok but does google reset domain age when the domain is changing the owner ?

The age of the domain is the age of the domain. I doubt that that would get reset on transfer of ownership. But given that Google has access to registration details, they might use them to reset any alleged advantage an older domain might have if a new owner acquired it.

But then how would anyone know for sure?
