I have been searching for a community script and ran across Dolphin. Has anyone dealt with this before and is it work it? More Info here: http://www.boonex.com/products/dolphin/ Thanks for the help
It is surely worth the money...it's free. Looks very promising to me, please let me know if you like it, I have no experience with it.
i recently did some research into various types of social network scripts, boonex and others; many people do like the script. i ended up going with phpfox...but that's not a free one.

I think one of the challenges with Dolphin is that it is new, at least the 6.x.x versions. It's been just a little over a year since its release and documentation is pretty sparse. People are still figuring it out. For example, installation requires the right server set up and a basic understanding of setting permissions and ftp'ing (<--is that a word?) Initially about 90% of the e-mails related to installation issues. I wrote an auto-installer and it's worked well. All my dev installs are 100% and takes less than a minute. It also does not follow the standard templating systems but rather makes its own road custom to its functions. For example, I've used Smarty Templates and like working with it. I've gotten use to working the BoonEx template system. It's a different way to do it but I can see its effectiveness and power once you learn how to use it. I've done a few sites with it and happy with the product. I've worked with social engine, phpfox and have a few elgg projects for next year. All these systems have their place and depends on what you want to do. If you need the full A/V, Video, Music or "the works" then I am partial to Dolphin as it has delivered what I've needed. In terms of the ads, to get rid of the ads, you have to pay for removal. I know it's common practice for some designers to take out the "Powered by" credits that many OS apps show, but if you read the T&C you will be reminded you are suppose to/encouraged to leave that in. I think that's fair. I just finished posting a 160+ Dolphin manual (FREE) as a starting point for further documentation and also run a site with a few tutorials. It's in my sig.
I'd go with SocialEngine if you've the got the money to invest, or Elgg if you're want a free one. See my post here about SocialEngine, Dzoic, etc.
