Dollar value reduced in front of Indian Rupees. Now 1dollar=41Rs. Dollar devaluation also causes for reducing my income.

Therefore, I will want to discuss about dollar devaluation. Post your opinion.

Theoretically, the US trade deficit should narrow as consumption and investment increases from overseas.

Hey, I'm all for that, but since AdSense pays in US, I'm losing money as it is.

Well on the other side of the coin, it actually makes buying US products cheaper. The Macbook I was eyeing on actually dropped in price due to the devaluation of the US$ so in the end it is not a bad thing.

Of course it is bad if you are earning in US$ but in the end, I guess it is pretty much just part of international commerce. If you earn US$ and spend US$ then the currency revaluation would probably not impact you.

In the end, I guess it is just motivation to work even harder. If I recall, the traditional exchange rates has usually been between 39 to 40Rs to the US Dollar.

Actually it is a sad Catch-22 situation. Of course, if the US$ is higher, it would mean that you be getting more money but everything which are imported in your country would be more expensive especially if they bought using the US$. Your fellow Indians would feel the pinch because things are more expensive and I understand that a few rupees can really make a deep impact in some people's income.

However if the Rupees goes up, then you be getting less Rupees per US$ but then it means that your fellow Indians would have a higher spending power if they are earning Rupees since US$ goods would be deemed to be cheaper.

About the AdSense concerns - thanks god, that the Ukrainian Griwna is very stable at a ratio of approx. 1:5 to the US$. So this has only a minor influence on my income.

The customers I am billing are paying usually in Euro. That means more money to spend here then a year ago for the same billing amount.

Conclusion: No, I cannot complain at all.

Well, I just converted 15% of my money into Gold and Silver, so my money is protected against government caused inflation. It is good to see that people here at DP are talking about this topic. The only solution I can give you is precious metals. If you don't have gold and silver, be prepared to watch your money become as valuable as toilet paper.

When the U.S. stock market crashed in 1929, only 10% had their money in Gold and Silver, and they prospered. Will you do the same thing today, or will you fall victim to the fate that befell 90% of the U.S. population in 1929? Below is a picture of a woman living during the Weimar Republic in Germany, when the economy went into hyperinflation. Her money is worthless, and she is burning it to keep her house warmed. I believed this is the future of the U.S., and I hope you guys are smart enough to know the difference between hard money and fiat money, because they didn't teach you about it in school
