Doing something interesting with a directory?

I'm not sure how to take this. I'm offended actually.

DirectorySpy is a free directory information service. You want me to draw attention with a backlink to your commercial directory, without charging you anything, because you have some mods. And now you are annoyed with me for choosing not to?

The mods, from what I gather, were written by Rob, which I have already heard about. There was a post a while ago that Rob started in which I offered to write about his mods, and I came to the conclusion to not write about them. I can't find the original thread unfortunately.

However, if you look at the other directories that I feature, you'll see they use unique concepts as 'edges' to their directory.

I don't see why you should be offended.You should just be more specific about what you want to write about.I was just using my directory as an example.
"Interesting concepts, templates, services and mods relating to directories" is what you said in the original post.
Now you have made it clear you only want unique concepts we can all go away happy and less confused.Thankyou for the clarification.

Yes, I'm after unique concepts, due to the very large number of directories out there that are virtually identical.

There doesn't seem to be an awful lot to write about, yet. It would be better to talk about it after there are actually some rules posted, or something to indicate what the contest is about and how it will be judged.

I get the impression that people are just after a free backlink, and have no thought into what the point of directoryspy is about.

It actually does have something to do with my directory. Maybe you cant notice just from looking at the forum... but, Please visit the homepage of webndex.com and see that you can actually choose to discuss any article on there. It will link you directly to the thread. All of this is done automatically as new rss feeds get created. This is all tied in to my directory, which is the main part of the website.
