Doing SEO for a non-texted website?

Actually the website i'm doing SEO for does have text, but its very less. It's a party pictures website. How is the easiest way to get better ranking for a site that contains 98% pictures. I want it to be found by some very important keyphrases such as 'foto's uit suriname' or 'party pictures suriname' and 'suriname'.

If you guys have any great ideas on how to optimize this website, please give it a shout

The site has been up for longer than 1 year, here are some details:

Alexa Rank: 1,827,841 [show graph]
Google Backlinks: ~2
Average PR: 0 | Max PR: 0 | Min PR: 0

Daily visits are between 900 to 1000.

if not the least you can do is to link build.

the only one so far.
well, I've already checked at the keywords and keyphrases, and made a sitemap, submitted that to Google. Hope that helps also.

Start working on backlinks, you need strong links back to your website using the keywords you'd like to be found in the search engines for - stick at it, don't stop and you'll eventually see results - this isn't magic though.

 

Some description for the photos wouldn't hurt, even if not very visible to human visitors, such as with small fonts, at the end of the page, etc. Avoid hidden text, obviously.

Other than that, I guess I would go for some relevant anchor text and relevant website links.

 

did you use tags, discribing the pictures? that would be a step forward.

 

Couple of things to try
for each image use both an alt attribute for describing the picture and a title attribute giving it a keyword based title.
With each picture try adding a description underneath or next to it, use either div's or spans to encapsulate both picture, sub heading based title and description.
Rinse and repeat

it was a zero back than.

 

First of all, use ALT to describe your images.
Then, just work on backlinks, like a regular SEO Job.
