I'm starting up a contest for my website on Digitalpoint (see sig), where I'm giving $100 away to the person that can get the most signups...however, I am still brainstorming different ways to promote my site. I'm in a gaming niche that has a small forum community, and I really want to see things grow. Other than doing my current contest, what else could I do to drum up traffic?

link exchange with other gaming sites, there are hundreds out there.. get a link on their websites and you'll get targeted traffic!... and all the obvious stuff... post blogs.. forums... SEO... everything like that... i heard of someone else making a contest... apparantly it doesn't work... so just read about SEO-ing and so on! hope that helps edit: i just had a look at your website, ok, good content.. keep adding more like that.. your website design is very boring.. its a gaming site.. make it look like one.. make a flashy banner about games.. background and so on... submit to social networks (there big lists of all these if your search it on digital point)... i hope thats some more help!
