My wife and I went to an anti-dog meat rally in Seoul today. The Korean government outlawed dog meat in 1988 when the Olympics came to Seoul but now they want to legalize, probably since everyone eats it anyway (including the president), Well of course not everybody and there were a few hundred of us at the rally...
In my country the children at schools eat worse than dogs (actual budget per mouth is lower) oh and lower than prisoners.
I was always afraid of the meat in Korea when I was there from 87-88. I always asked if it was cagogi (dog meat). Was told it would likely not be served to me as it was considered a delicacy and more expensive. Fortunately one of my three chihuahuas are sitting safely next to me in my recliner.
Hey Gtech where were ya over there? I was there from 86-88. Ate a lot of wierd stuff, don't think any of it barked.... although Soju makes you do some crazy stuff...
OK Will anything you say, remind me never to visit you when you are hungry Will, I don't want to end up on your table man
Yep, 37p for ingredients..a tin of dog food costs 55p or something http://www.sport.telegraph.co.uk/wine/main.jhtml?xml=/wine/2005/02/15/edjoliv14.xml
I think it's stranger for those of us who keep dogs as pets (or in countries where dogs are kept as pets), and therefore we form an emotional attachment. I have no problem eating a cow, but would probably see a bigger issue with it if i cuddled one in bed every morning
haha i hear ya sista!! In Holland they eat horse meat..Now I don't know about you but I find that SICK..I adore horses and I could never eat one (nor could I eat dog meat) When I was in LapLand in Finland visiting Father Christmas ( as you do, like...)when I was little, I actually ate reindeer. My evil mum wanted me to try it without prejudices and told me it was lamb. I only found out a few years ago that it was infact Rudolph the Reindeer...We went On reindeer rides and stuff and then I ended up eating one
Many animals are meant to eat . yum yum. I would try cat or dog anyday. Cats especially, with so many in the states we need to find another use for them! Besides to make me sneeze.
Thanks for putting me off my dinner I wouldn't eat cat if you paid me, seriously even the thought is making me feel quite sick. Animals are not made to be eaten. That's ridiculous.
I went to central Africa 10 yrs ago and ate giraffe, wilderbeast, zebra, dukier, boa, live termites you name it Ive had it, except dog and cat....have to draw the line somewhere....
