DoFollow Turned NoFollow

I have a question about dofollow and nofollow. Since Google Page Rank updates to some extent are pretty predictable, would it be possible to make 60-70 days after the PR update dofollow to increase followers and then turn it to no follow up until the next update?

Would this hurt my PR still or would they lose credit for these dofollow comments?

Would I have any negative outcome as a result? I've heard comments can hurt you in SERPs because it messes up your keyword saturation?

Any advice as to why this would not be wise in terms of SERPs and Page Rank?

Nofollow doesn't stop links from taking up a share of PR flow, they just kill the link juice instead of passing it along. Also, what you're talking about sounds intentionally deceptive and not a very good way to build a loyal following.

I know, not straight towards your readers. I haven't ever done so or plan to do so. Just curious how that would work.

I have seen many blog sites setting up to do follow then after 1 month then convert it to no follow cornering those previous comments with no follow tags
