If you are looking for do follow backlinks, I would suggest you search for dofollow blogs or you can also use dofollow social bookmarks. Even the signature links on some forums for example like DP is also dofollow, so you can also work on that. There are much better options than just using directories.
I really do not like to use yahoo as a link source. They show no follow links so they are not accurate.
Link command in google show only websites that have pagerank of 4 linking to your website. so try with this: "http://yourwebsite.com" -site:http://yourwebsite.com in google and you will get result of your backlinks
I think you're best off sticking with the big boys like business.com and the yahoo directory. Problem is they are crazy expensive! $300/yr each.
Directories are fine but don't focus 100% of your link building efforts on them. There are other link building tactics and a campaign based on just one will leave you with results that may either never come or which will rely very heavily on Google liking those links. Mark Metro Hi Speed.com

To get PR you need to do more and more link building.Don't stop with just 100 directory submission.You can tr more and more methods.
Google does not like most of the directories out there, you should find other ways of obtaining backlinks ie. article submission, social media sites...

Exactly. Yahoo Site Explorer is the best tool for seeing the actual counts of your backlinks. Google is the worst, as most of theirs are not divulged.
