I'm not sure if I understand your question correctly, but: 'Dofollow comments' includes links to external sites with no nofollow flag, right? Such a link is simply a backlink. So it's the same on all the other backlink stuff. As long as your site is optimized for web2.0 traffic and you do the same on getting quality backlinks in the 'old way' these web2.0 backlinks can push your site visitor count for sure. Set your links on topic related sites (blogs or what ever) makes your backlinks much stronger for the search engines and the chance you'll get high targeted visitors to your site is much higher that linking on other sites. Quantity is also a topic so use sites with a lot of traffic if you want more revenue from one link and/or just post it in a lot of sites.

Yes they will work if they are do-follow. Most blogs are no-follow. *but* I would take your time and write good comments. You'll actually get some traffic from them. The search engines still *see* these links. Nobody really knows if they are counted or not. Google came up with the whole no-follow idea to help stop comment spam.

DoFollow blog commenting helps, especially if they allow you to leave your website URL. This is very advantageous as they are already indexed and therefore the likelihood of the PR juice being passed on to you and Google recognizing it is a lot more faster. However do not build just dofollow back links. You also need a mix of nofollow back links in order to be genuine.

If you are interested, check out my signature. I offer high pr dofollow blog comment service.

DoFollow blogs are pretty hard to come by. I'd say a good 95% of the blogs you'll run across are nofollow. Even harder to find are dofollow + auto approve blogs. If you're going to go heavy into commenting I'd suggest picking up Scrapebox and learning everything you can about it. It will massively speed up the process of actually finding blogs.

Dofollow back links has good value but that does not mean nofollow back link has no value. Nofollow back link also work for traffic.

Yeah, I'll never turn down a nofollow backlink. Especially if it's relevant to my niche. Some can actually provide a fair amount of traffic. And at the very least they'll help diversify your backlinks.

Do-follow blog commenting is good for both search engine ranking and traffic but no-follow blog commenting is only good for traffic point of view.
