Dofollow commenting

    I have read that dofollow commenting improves page rank. How true is this?

    It is true if you get to post a comment on a blog that is do follow and that has high page rank, at least higher than your own page page rank and if you get to post comments in many blogs with the same characteristics I mean if you do post in more than one blog

    Actually the PR of a site//blog increases through backlinks.
    And you can get backlink only by commenting on dofollow blogs.
    So,ultimately commenting on dofollow blogs will increase backlinks will in turn increase the PR.

    Any dofollow backlink will help PR, but PR is an indicator of your link power. By itself PR is absolutely worthless. If you comment on blogs do it responsibly, spamming up a bunch of blogs will not help your reputation.

    Yeah, I'm doing the same too which I will read some article and leave my comments there. From time to time, I do see some unique traffic come in too, I guess that was from there. I did this everyday and I start to see my result after 2 weeks. Thanks

    very true, commenting on do follow will create backlinks which will help your site to increase PR. you will see the result in 1 or 2 after you comment and will also help you in getting traffic to your site.

    Building dofollow comments can really increase your PR for they are counted by Google as BLs. For better results, choose blogs with good PR.

    I agree with "mrandrei" but would add the blogs you comment on should be related to the site that you are linking to.

    They believed that dofollow links pass PR link juice. But I think either dofollow or nofollow can still helps to improved SERP.

    The Do-follow commenting increases the backlinks and thus it helps to increase the pagerank.

    Would be someone interested in spending 100 euros for 10000 posts with PR<=4 from aprox 1500 dofollow blogs?

    Im not making an offer,just wanted to know.....
    Lets say that I can generate automatically a list with dofollow posts.....

    Dofollow blog commenting 'done right' helps your SERPs as well as pagerank. You can find many dofollow blogs with this list - http://directoryblogger.com/are-you-tired-of-looking-for-dofollow-blogs/

    You get a anchored backlink from keywordluv blogs, you also get a deep link if blog has commentluv. Many blogs post top commentor's links on their sitewide sidebar.

    comments are useful only if they are do follow, related to your site and where you are commenting, that's page are getting index then only it is useful.
