I want to hear what you guys think ogf my link building effot. In the last 2 months I have built 2200 backlinks from high quality (pr 3-6) dofollow blogs. Do you think that many backlinks in 2 months is a big issue? Because 90% of these backlink are from blogs, will google somehow know this and penalize me for this? Thanks!
Whoa thats alot of links to get.. depends if they are anchor text links and how they were added.. Google is constantly changing their algorithms on how sites are ranked to try and penalise sites they think are gaming the system.. especially when it comes to Social media links. But well done whats your PR on this many links?
I have been doing this after the latest page rank update. So I haven't received PR credit yet. I am Waiting patiently for the next google update
Only if the blog has DO-FOLLOW tags enabled.. which by default is not the standard on most blogs.. every link that points to your site helps if it is do-follow so the Google-bot counts it.. no matter where they come from.
It should not be a problem. The key is to mix up the anchor text a bit and to add quality comments not the same spammy message. Also be aware that a blog that is PR5 will not pass that juice once the post moves from the front page.
A lot of blogs frown on using keywords in your name field when you comment. So getting varied anchor text can be a pain unless you search for KeywordLuv and CommentLuv blogs. On standard dofollow blogs, instead of linking to my homepage, I usually link to a closely related post on my blog. It spreads out the link love a bit with deeper linking.
I guess my question would be - what kind of results are you getting from this? Are you getting se rankings for the keywords you have been targeting? Sean
"also be aware that a blog that is PR5 will not pass that juice once the post moves from the front page." I agree with this statement but wouldn't it be save to say that it will, at least pass some link juice?
I would think that even if it stops passing link juice today, a year from now if it begins again, and if that happens with many links, your ranking will start to go up fast. Let's face it, it is hard to get good rankings the first year...why not build for the long term?
My point is...it would never just stop passing link juice completely.... Sure on the homepage it was a pr 5 but now thats its buried a bit now its a 3 or 2 or 1. Still a valuable link?
I would have thought you could have told us this yourself... have you seen any issue? If you PM the url then I could probably let you know. TBH I dont think it will penalize you for it but without looking deeper into the url its difficult to say.
If you have posted these links based on the home page rank of the blog, I doubt whether they will service your purpose. However, a good comment on a post having less than 50 outbound links and a PR of greater than three will help you quite a bit.
Are you getting a decent traffic? I mean those are a lot of links, how much traffic do you get from blog commenting?
