Dofollow and Nofollow question

    i have some basic question about nofollow and dofollow

    -What's dofollow and nofollow?
    -what's the advantage and disadvantage of those two?

    The NOFOLLOW directive was introduced by the Search Engines to deal with the massive amount of comment spam on blogs. Basically, it allows the SE spider to ignore anything that has a nofollow attribute.

    DOFOLLOW is, as you might expect, to tell the SE's what links to follow. The default is for links to be dofollow so you don't need to include that attribute.

    I can't remember if WP automatically assigns nofollow to comments or not.

    Advantage of nofollow is it prevents PR 'leak.'

    Really, PR is something you shouldn't concern yourself with at this stage. Just concentrate on building your blog. I wouldn't even worry about nofollow or dofollow either if I were you. Create the content and trust that the rest of the stuff you will learn over time by reading forums such as this one. :)

    I think if you can't really make difference between spam comments and non-spam comments, you should make your blog nofollow. But if you care about blog's commenters, then try dofollow, because usually dofollow blogs have more commenters, because the commenters want to have backlinks for free from your blog.

    in simpler words, if you want to go for PR then find Do Follow links. And for SEO purpose both are good- nothing matters at all.

    NoFollow issues applies only on google. Google's act to stop blog comment spamming, they don't credit nofollow links. So it's up to the blog moderator to moderate his / her blog to give rewards by making a link in dofollow

    Nofollow site does't share page rank with you.

    Eg:- Suppose you are getting backlink from site A which has PR 5 , then Site A will not share PR with you, But ya google crawl tha link.

    DoFollow - Just Opposite. Helps your site to increase PR and Also search engine ranking in Google
