Dofollow AND Nofollow Links are against Google's Rules?

    SPAM is the problem, not DoFollow or NoFollow but spam itself.
    Make sure if you are gonna build links, which is against TOS then you do it intelligently.

    Nofollow in itself or dofollow in itself is not the problem, now you have to use a combination of do and nofollow links. If a site has all nofollow links, that doesn't look natural now does it.

    there are many ways to consider a website quality, indeed! anyway, if you place links as nofollow, in your website, you are sure you are doing a good thing. Means you are not doing anything to manipulate the pagerank and it's a positive point when considering a website.
