Hi, I'm a rookie when it comes to this. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Here's my problem: I own www.miamidirectmail.com. It's been on for about a year now and I still don't come up in Google. I have submitted my sitemap, I check the webmaster tool and it appears, yet no results. On Yahoo I have a page 1 rank third spot. I try typing on the search (Google) = miami direct mail and I still don't come up. If I type miamidirectmail.com, I still don't come up. WHY? If that's the name, they have the sitemap, and it appears when I use the webmaster tool? I get alot of business from searches from Yahoo, but zero from Google. I also own www.lenworx.com, and I've put the miamidirectmail.com site on it, and it ranks on Google. WTF What does Google not like about the domail name miamidirectmail? It's obvious to me that it doesn't like the name for some reason, because when I put the same exact site on Lenworx.com, it ranks!!! Help Help Help....I'm very fraustrated. Did you buy miamidirectmail.com from someone else or was it previously registered and became available? If so, maybe it's a banned URL (for Google). I did notice that it was registered 2007-01-13 (not about a year ago), so maybe Google just hasn't picked it up yet. Also, Yahoo only indexed 2 pages, and MSN 4. I'd say start submitting sitemaps to all three. Build more links from high PR sites.
usasportstraining, thanks for the quick response. Yes, I just noticed it's only 7 months old. I'm the first to own the name. I did submit the sitemap to google, and they did pick it up. I guess I should wait longer. thanks
Also, we're in the midst of an update for Google so a couple more weeks may be needed before you see something.
