It used to pay more, as proven by taking YPN and Google in a similar niche. Now people are saying that Yahoo is correcting its prices and they are about the same now.
It depends on your niche and stuff, but I am doing fine with YPN. Don't think would be doing that well with Adsense.
On some sites I've owned, YPN did better than AdSense. However, I am sure these results vary from site to site as well as from topic to topic.
so it looks like YPN is doing better hmmm... im not sure, i guess you really dont know until you try it by yourself/
Varies widely from one niche to the next. The fact that some adsense clicks are only worth .01 and up means some niches can pay very little with adsense.
The better question is does Yahoo match ads to content as well as Google. From what I've seen, Yahoo ads are often very irrelevant and thus have lower CTR.
Are you smart priced? If you are then ypn probably pays better. For me YPN got way fewer clicks however I was making literally 10 times more per click with ypn and there for making LITERALLY thousands more per day wth YPN.
YPN also has smart pricing. So changing because of that isn't exactly a great idea. Of course, you should always diversify. So if you can, then by all means do it. However, don't think you will get rid of smart pricing by doing so.
It's hard for me to say as I get much more traffic from foreign sites than I do from the US, not to mention with Yahoo!'s ad targeting you can change the outcome quite a bit...
