Yes...both the avatar and your signature works. A good avatar can entice people to click on your ad. If you have a well written ad as your signature, you could also get some good hits. Here is the thing though. You need to do GOOD marketing. What this means is, you need to only post or answer to forums/threads that is related to your product/service. That is when people are more likely to click on your ad.

 

I dont think it does any harm to use your signature,not sure about the avatar though.

 

As long as you're contributing value, you will get results. Since you're a regular user, why not set it up? It's not exactly time-consuming.

This is absolutely true

When I want little bit more information about user - then I allways check homepage and signature links. I think this is very important, when You are making business with some user. This is additional information place.

You have to be very active to take advantage of your signature and avatar and the value of your posts boosts the image. My signature links give some decent traffic to my sites, btw...

 

Currently I am getting most of my traffic from my forum signatures. It helps for the SERP also. Its really fun to participate in forum , So why not putting signature.

Forum signatures are really good for building backlinks + getting traffic.

It works.Though I haven't used it in DP it works well for me. Why don't you try it? It might not bring a whole a lot of traffic but it is not a waste. That's for sure.

 

If you active you will get more visitors than you will get if you will just write one post a day.
