Does your SERP drop if Server is down?

    I don't think so.

    I had sites, no server, no hosting, but the same rankings.

    Yes.. it will affect the SERP if the server is down and crawling take place..once it happened to me in the case of my website backlinks...

    one of the important things that measures search engine ranking is the "loading page time" so if your server is down then it might be little drop in serps ...

    Your server would have to be down for several days.

    Trust me, the guys at Google have brains enough to know that every now and then an outage occurs. Now, if it's tried to index repeatedly and weeks alter it still gets no joy, then yes, you will lose SERP. But, if you just have a power outage or a glitch, it's not gonna ding you.
