    Does Your Cat Like To Be Hugged, or Does He (She) Make Funny Little Noises?

    Mine wants attention, but doesn't really like hugs.
    He makes these funny little (1/2 muted) meows when I hug him.

    How about your cat??

    I have a Siamese cat, and she likes for someone to be by her, or for her to be able to jump on your lap, but she doesn't like 'hugs.'

    Don't know if this is relevant, but my friends has a dog that barks if he's not paid attention to. I don't know, he's a crazy dog.... :)

    Exactly, they purr (really loud sometimes :)) when jumping on your lap, but...
    ...don't enjoy being picked up and hugged.

    Anyone else have a similar cat, or different?

    I dont have a cat but do have a dog and she loves a lot of attention. we are always playing with her, giving her cuddles, and she even sleeps with us too.

    I don't have a cat, but I do have a dog! She likes attention, especially when I'm watching tv or reading a book, she'll get in my line of vision. Once she went so far as to lay down slowly on top of my book. It was cute.
