A toast is what the msn messenger windows you see coming up when someone comes online are.

Allthough I find it very strange that after reading this thread yesterday I came across exactly what you were talking about. I was looking for something on google and instead of getting the page i was expecting I got the same page you did. Annoyingly I had avast turned of at that point because the on access protection was slowing down my browser and I'd turned it off for gaming. Those are normally the only times i turn it off.

It look more like a webpage that looked like the windows explorer menu to me obviously meant to be deceitful imo, i'll download ad-aware and run a scan later today just incase. I suggest you do the same :)

Thanks for the advice, but I did not download any adware. I have disabled this in my browser. See this post for better info on what happened to me. Banner Ads Hijack.

The internet itself becomes more annoying each day. Pretty soon I hope to see safety hubs that only the elite-spamfree-noncommercial shall be allowed to surf!

Yep. Perhaps confused on adware, but, I more than fink the ads were attempting to hijack through browser by installing junk on pc, I'm certain of it! Adware, malware, whatever - it's garbage none of us want.

So.. I've put the info I gathered into that blog to share.

My point is that attempts were made to install the software (?) to my PC, but my PC/Browser settings did not allow it, thankfully.

At any rate, I've given all I can on this subject, hopefully it will help some people.

You may want to download this: http://www.lavasoft.com/ it may help clear the junk from your pc.

Another tip is you could try a system restore if its messed anything up, allthough you may need to re-install any programs since the date you decide to restore your pc to.

You might have installed software with adware, sitepoint doesn't use pop-ups

its a virus which tries to confuse you to order something from them - another virus.

Best option is to reinstall your system and protect it with firewall/antivirus programs

    Doesn't happen to me anymore...

What confuses me is that, DP ads are to show only adsense, but sometimes, the banner on the top-right, shows ClickSor ads...which may contain this adware, anyone know why clicksor ads are shown?
