Does Yahoo links can effect Google PR?

Discussion in 'Google' started by icgold, Sep 4, 2010.

I know Google PR have their own algorithm to calculate the PR. Even my website is still have PR 0 and no data for my Google links, but my Yahoo links and Yahoo linkdomain have already grow up to about 1000 links. So can be that Yahoo links data will be the same data I can get in Google links?

    Please advise. Thanks

Yahoo usually shows you all the backlinks of your sites while Google can just show you some quality backlinks to your sites.
It is obvious that Yahoo links are also helpful to effect Google PR.

Google plays by its own rule and it is not a certainty that all links shown by Yahoo are actually counted as 'backlinks' by google too.

You should perhaps just concentrate on getting quality backlinks without worrying too much about 'who' considers them relevant or not. Btw... PR depends on the backlinks coming from higher ranked pages, rather than the quantity of links! :)

    Hi,

I would like to mention that they are already real back links for your sites no matter you find it on Google or Yahoo using some kinds of tool. In my own experiences, Google would like those back links from authority sources, especially from niche relative high PR sources.

    all the best,

Suppose "A" and "B" two quality websites back link your website "C".But "A" website used "nofollow" tag while giving you a back link ,even if both A and B websites crawl by Google Bot and Yahoo Bot ,Google bot will not consider A as your valid back link for "nofollow" tag ,but yahoo bot may consider both as valid back link ,that is why you get the difference. Google will consider back link from quality websites only where as Yahoo consider as back link if they able to crawl that website.

Google counts only quality back links to any site and yahoo also counts some less quality back links. so, if you are looking for good PR you must increase quality back links to site and those links should be from different SEO sources.

just like you've said.. google and other SEs have their own algorithm.. so they both can read your site differently..

I wold also check if the linking page is cached in google because if it is not in the google index then from what I understand it will not count even if it is in Yahoo

Google certainly counts Yahoo links too in one way or another. They just don´t show up.
