Does yahoo have pagerank?

I'm wondering if yahoo had pagerank because when i search on google, my site comes out, but when i use yahoo, it never did. Is there a way i could improve my ranking yahoo at the same time in google?

 

Actually Yahoo gives more important to content.You have to submit your site to Yahoo webmasters.Not many sites do well in both search engines that's for sure.This might help you.

 

Hi! Both of them ahve the ranking system but they are completely different! You cant find the same pr in Yahoo! Even the way they look like is different!

 

There is no such thing exists with Yahoo. Content+Backlinks dominates the yahoo SERP

 

Yahoo does not have Yahoo PR unlike Google. Yahoo is for backlinks or Site Explorer that checks for backlinks.

 

It doesn't have an explicit PR like number but anyway, it has their algorithm to rank sites.

 

I think page rank is just for google. maybe yahoo has somethign similar but it's kept secret?

That is a good question. I also been wondering about it before. Thanks for starting this thread. and BTW it seem the "Haier's" answer is a bit intriguing because this is the first I've heard the Webrank. I've also read that the webrank was on beta mode in 2004 and also I couldn't search any recent info regarding this yahoo webrank. Maybe it was a failed experiment for yahoo.

 

Well never heard of that, and i personally believe the amount of work that google has put in in evaluating the Pr factor is exemplary and there aren't any precedents as yet to match. You can try moz rank if you really want some quality rankings.

DigitalPoint had a tool to check Yahoo WebRank but unfortunately Webank is now defunct.

Page rank is just for Google but you should improve on you on page optimization for yahoo.

both has identical PR strategies. such as yahoo gives importance on content, keywords, metatags, metakeywords and traffics. Google only gives consideration in backlinks, traffics and now +1 and recently google panda is launched to check duplicate content but it do not really helps to improve pr; but decrease it when duplicate content is found.

 

PageRank was a concept started by Larry Page - Co-Founder of Google so that is where the Page in PageRank is from, so Yahoo might have a YangRank!

 

I remember hearing yahoo had a page rank at one time..

 

PageRank is a Google concept Yahoo has a different system.

 

Actually I do not believe Yahoo puts much thought into pagerank at all. I believe this ranking system was created Google owners.
