Does Yahoo have a problem with Add-On Domains?

It's been awhile but, I just went back and looked at 5 sites I have with one host. All set up as ad-on/sub domains.

All of them only show the index page in Yahoo.

None of them are very aggressively seo'd. They are not all interlinked.

Could there be a problem with them all being on the same host?
Could there be some sort of penalty on the host?

    Suggestions on finding out?

I don't know why everyone thinks search engines punish you for having multiple sites on a single server, if that was true then everyone would be getting dedicated servers for every site.

Anyways, I run 4 domains on a single server and all of them are indexed in yahoo correctly, and I get traffic from it too (very little though, i've never had good luck with Yahoo rankings).

I didn't mean to imply that there would be a penality hosting on the same server/host. I've been doing this for along time and have never had a problem. I normally don't pay much attention to Yahoo, but need to for a specific project. I just wondered if anyone had any experience with them penalizing a host, etc.

Yes, I do run adsense on these sites.

I suppose if a host kept hosting sites that got banned from Yahoo, then they might punish that specific IP. Who knows...

This is not true. I have many sites with Google ads that are 1st in Yahoo serps.

seomagician, there is 2 possibilities ether penalty or problem with your hosting.
Try to sing up with Yahoo site explorer and see if your site could be authenticated without any problems.
If authentication failed then it is the problem with the your host, contact them and check if your DNS resoled properly. Also check your logs if Yahoo spidering your site.
If authenticated without problems then my only guess that you probably were penalized for some reason. Submit a reinclusion request.
