Yahoo answers can convert very well but you need to follow a few practices: 1. Don't link to a landing page looking site. Something that is more informative and looks like a resource site does better. Sometimes iframing can work great too. 2. Certain niches just do not convert. Do 10 answers per niche, then move on. If you start getting sales from one niche then go back and do more. 3. Be consistent. It's not something that you will be instantly profitable on. Keep submitting answers day after day and slowly your income will increase. Hope that helps
While I don't get ALOT from Yahoo ANswers, I DO still get traffic from questions answered two years ago. It's nice to still see that, even if its only once a day.
Thanks guys, interesting thread. I have tried Yahoo answers, not a lot, but don't really seem to get the traffic. I did buy a report stating how you could make it work but haven't put it into practice - I am guessing that if a lot of other marketers also got the report - that it doesn't work too well as most people are using it as a traffic source .... oh well, back to article marketing.
ive never really used yahoo answers for advertising purposes.... i may get round to it but i wudnt have thought it would do very good as i run a dnb forum.
its depends on the title of the question .. .if the question is frequently search from google ..a higher chance you will get a traffic from search engine . . .are you people expecting trafic directly from yahoo answers?? lol your all wrong. . . we can use yahoo answers to lure the search engine
Yahoo answers generates great traffic but the links are no follow and the traffic is not the best to convert, remember yahoo answers is know as the forum to ask dumb questions on (maybe to may kids) but it seems logical to not get high conversions.
mgn465, is it possible you are confusing Yahoo with Yahoo Answers? For many of us (me, too), Yahoo is second in traffic only to Google. But Yahoo Answers is different and for most of us gives very little traffic. For example, last month I had 13,266 visitors from Yahoo, but only 63 visitors from Yahoo Answers.
Well, i pay people to help me with that yahoo answers thing...& it does work well for me by bringing in, significant amount of traffic.
its still depends on what niche are you trying to promote and remember to answer it only if its fix on your site category
yahoo answers page are/will actually appear in the results page when people type questions in google like 'how tos'.
I get a decent amount of traffic from YA, from answers that I submitted over 8 months ago. That account has since been disabled, but I still get a ton of traffic to a couple specific offers that convert pretty well. Some of the answers pages are actually as high as PR8, although the links are nofollow.
yahoo answer has changed its rules you need to get more than 250 points to post your link. so if you don't knw please check it.
