Does Yahoo Answers benefit in SEO?

It is good for traffic and there will be no direct benefit in ranking or PR. It might happen people find it really informative and link back from their blog/sites someday. Not to forget yahoo Q/A ranks well though.

 

I think that Yahoo A are quite good if it comes to traffic - even after month you can find people that goes to your site from it. If it comes to SEO, probably it's the same situation as Wikipedia, so noone knows.

 

Yes, you are right, we didn't get some quick traffics from there, But i am sure, it's slow and organic. but still yedda is working fine to me. It's good for backlink as well as traffic.

I have just answered only two answers in yedda.com, I am getting something great from that itself, i wonder.

 

SEO Answering is good for targeted traffic if you answer on relevant category of your pages.

 

Well i dont think nofollow links are that helpful.. ther is no counting on 'em and if it work then i will sujjest you wiki to get quality " nofollow backlinks" ... cheers!!! have fun

 

Google is the only site that does not count a "No Follow" link. Other search engines do include them. So, they are worth something.

I think Link from yahoo answer is no follow, so you can get only traffic.

 

I never concentrated on Yahoo answers...But i'll try this as it'll bring me backlinks for my web.

yahoo answers increases the traffic of the site but do not affect the rankings.

 

Yahoo answers gives you only traffic, not sporting for SEO, because yahoo answer links counted as nofollow links.

In all the above answers I agree with you because I am personally experiencing that my sites are getting good back links from yahoo answers, So I can say they are useful as SEO point of view.

 

I used Yahoo Answers to generate traffic for AdSense enabled site and it really brings traffic and some revenue.

yes they are ranked very high. and one thing that i would like to say that link from yahoo answer's link is not a nofollow link. it is real link and give value to your blog or website.

 

Yahoo answers doesn't pass any link juice for sure but it does help you to solidify your online identity and can help somewhat to promote the brand image of your organization and nothing else.

One small thing I want to add to this thread - Yahoo Answers will help like many other methods do, but it won't boost you. People should start thinking outside the box, don't follow a recipe every time you're doing S.E.O. for a website, in most cases it won't work twice. This is the reason so many things are done before getting busy with a new project.

 

In my opinion we can't get unique visitors by Yahoo answer. If you want to increase only traffic then Yahoo answer will be beneficial for you. I also think that it is no useful.

I tested Yahoo Answers many times and it delivered great traffic to site but no SEO for google.
