Working Fine. Revert back to IE6, Windows Media 10, install SP3, and then come back. i didn't have to do that.
On both my Dell computers, I did had some Access Violations during the installation but it did not quite affect anything. Both computers were upgraded to XP SP 3 now. I did read a report about problem with the HP AMD based computer but I do have one of those which does not have any problem at all.
its not to good after installing sp 3 my pc stuck...not good for me yesterday only i downgraded to sp 2
Well I used XP SP2 but was not that much impressed by it. Obviously why would one get as it has not been officially introduced by Microsoft. Better to use SP2 in spite of SP3
There is no actual need to upgrade to SP3 if you had automatic updates on your SP2. SP3 is just the SP2 + all the updates for it through the years.(lame updates to be clear )
If you have installed every update, till date, then SP3 should be only 66 MB large. It HAS been released officially by Microsoft, contrary to what rockinfuture said. @Forumking, my PC is going a lot faster after installing SP3, not that it was slow with SP2.
Actually no. SP3 has a few features exclusive to itself, they cannot be downloaded individually. And those updates are not lame, Microsoft is filling in patches. That is why Vista was released, it has plugged in a majority of XP's holes.
I don't get it...I would have liked for it to have a slightly more polished and better look it to it.
